Proverbs 3 Envelope Mini Album

Happy day Everybody!

I made my first envelope mini album, Yay!!!  I have seen so many videos on different ways of making this but I kept my first one simple.  I made it out of envelopes from Kenneth Hagin's Ministry, http://www.rhema.org/. The blue envelopes where a perfect color for the base of the album.  The chipboard covers are made from granola boxes.  I thought the idea of the granola boxes and the paper pack went well together.  Anywho, here are some quick pics of the album and the tags.
.

The album tags will fit a 3x5 photo easily without cropping.  The front and back of the tags are the same throughout the album.  I used brown card stock as hinges to connect the envelopes together.  I really kinda like this album.  I think this will be a great little gift for a man due to the colors and simplicity of the album.  When I finish the embellishments I will take some more pics and show you all.

Thanks for stopping by the blog!!!

Until next time...Challenge yourself to try something new!

The Last of the Brown Bag Minis

Hi Everybody, Happy Thursday!

Okay, so I know I have made quite a few of these Brown Bag Greeting card mini albums but I promise this will be my last one for awhile.  I made this one using the Angelica Paper Pad by Marcella for K&Company.  I love how vibrant these colors are.  This mini can fit 11+ photos and/or journaling spots.

I used some flat back bling and antique lace.  The flower is a die cut flower from the collection.  I added three tags for photos/journaling spots.  They measure 4 1/4"x5".

These three large mats measure 5 1/8"x6".

I love the back of this album.  I turned the entire back into a pocket for more photos, journal tags, mementos, you name it.

So here it is.  My last brown bag mini for a while.  I really pray you have enjoyed seeing them as much as I have making them.

So until the next blog... Find a way to make lemonade with life's lemons.

God Bless You card holder

Hi-Dee-Ho Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around. I have been suffering with some tremendous back pain.  Even typing is painful but I have to stretch the muscles and become mobile again.  So here I sit and stretch.

Have you ever had an experience where a paper pack kept hounding you to use it.  Well, that is what happened to me.  The purple in this pack by Colorbok - "Julia",  kept calling my name until I opened it and used it on a project.  For this project I created a Greeting Card Portfolio/Holder using a cereal box and a patterned paper pack I purchased from Target back in June.

Using the Vellum quotes from DCWV, I created a simple cover.

I used DecoArt Twinkles on the ribbon ends to keep them from fraying.

I used Nicole Crafts card stock to create the pockets.  I made a total of 5 cards each with white envelopes.  Why 5?  Biblically, the number five represents grace.  On the first card I added flat-back lavender pearls and the sheer ribbon I used for the closure.  Studio G ink, VP0017, is used around the sentiment.  Actually I used this ink all throughout this project.

The second card I kept it fairly plain so that it could be given to a man.

The inside of the second card.

On the third card I added some white Offray ribbon and white round brads to the patterned paper.  The flowers are cut out from the same paper pack.  The flower at the top I placed on foam tape.

Here is the inside of card 3.

For card 4 I used white button brads for the corners, green flat back pearls for the sentiment and Studio G blue ink around the edges.

The inside of card 4.

Card 5 is a simple blank outside card.  I may add a one word sentiment later on the card; maybe the word "Purpose", I haven't quite decided yet.  With my white gel pen I added faux stitching.  This card was inspired by Sara Wisboo from Don't Worry, Be Scrappy! :D.

I used Recollections white card stock throughout the project.  I really enjoyed making this portfolio and I can see making some more for the upcoming holiday seasons.  Okay, time for me to go lie down.

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me.

Until the next blog...Remember, God has a incredible plan for your life!  Just ask Him to find out what it is.

Mail A Bible Mini Album

Hi Everybody!

So the following blog was done quite some time ago (May I think) but because of the major computer issues I have had over the last couple of months, I was unable to upload this video.  I have been wanting to share this project with you all for some time now.  I took photos of the album and have posted them for you all to see.  So let me know what you think.  I really do love reading all of your feedback!

...What a wonderful Wednesday it is!  The Sun shining bright, - no rain - 70 degree weather, - no rain - I finished a project I was working on, - No Rain - The computer is acting right today and oh I almost forgot to mention - NO RAIN!!!!!!  Whooo Hoooo!!!!  :D  "Do a little dance; get down tonight (bomp bomp) get down tonight"

Today was the first day without cloudy skies and/or rain.  I am loving today.  So, I wanted to share my latest project of a mini that I finished for a friend.  For this mini I used vellum envelopes hubby and I received in the mail as a result of donating to "The Voice of the Martyrs".  They are a group that shares the Gospel message and provides Bibles to those in need in various parts of the world like Chine, Indonesia, Egypt, Cuba, etc.

Here are a few pictures from of the mini:

I hand rolled the peach flower and embellished the center with a flat back rhinestone.  Then I added three white roses to represent the Trinity.

This is what is inside the first envelope.  It is a brochure made from stamps around the world.

Then you open the brochure; this is what the inside of the first brochure looks like.  Each brochure has photo mats, the card shown below for journaling and a pocket with extra tags for photos, notes, etc.

Brown Bag Greeting Card Mini Album #2

Happy Tuesday to you!!!

Okay, so I am loving these Brown Bag Card Mini Albums!! I so hope you are not getting tired of seeing them.  I am just having so much fun making them.  I think I am almost addicted to them.

So, you may recall me using this K&Company paper in a project not too long ago but I think it is sooo pretty.  This album holds a combination of 12 photos and/or journaling spots.

I used an Autumn Leaves journaling stamp, Studio G blue pigment ink around all the edges, flat back pearls I bought in bulk from Ebay, Decoart Twinkles on the ribbon, silk flowers I picked up from Michael's, K&Company Blue & Cream Paper Pad, flat back gems from Nicole crafts, silver brads - I can't remember whose they are, and the Cricut Home Decor cartridge for the frame on the front of the card.  I plan on stamping "Thank You" in the circle frame, but that is all that remains to be done.

Thank you all for stopping by and sharing your time with me!!!!  I am grateful to you all.

So until the next blog... Keep smiling    : D

Inspired Greeting Card #2

Hi Everyone,

So as I mentioned before, while I was doing laundry I picked up a Pottery Barn magazine from Fall 2006 and saw some room settings that inspired me on making card layouts.  The first picture is of the entire room.  The second picture is the area of the room that inspired me.

It always amazes me where and when inspiration strikes.  For this card I used a piece of paper from Basic Grey's "Stella Ruby" collection on a kraft card stock card base.  I inked around the edges with red pigment ink from Studio G.  I hot glued some silk flowers that I found at Goodwill, and used a piece of white Offray lace ribbon I picked up from Jo-Anns (Options C1 white 3 9ft - 305836).  For the center of the flowers I used a pale green flat back pearl.  And lastly, the sentiment is part of a collection of digital sentiments from Favorite Favors' "Passion Stamps"; it reads "A friend will pray for you, a real friend will pray you through."  Here is the card.

So there you have it.  I have some more inspired cards that I am eager to show you.  Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me!!!!!!

Until next time.. Keep praying.

Pottery Barn Inspired Greeting Card #1

Oh Happy Day!!

Today is a beautiful day!  Hubs and I attended service and had such an amazing time in the Lord!!  God is so awesome.  The love that the Father has for us is unbelievable.

So, Friday as I was washing clothes I started flipping through a Pottery Barn magazine (from early fall 2006) and my creative juices started to flow.  I am still on a "Thank You" theme but the layout of the furniture in this mag gave me ideas for card layouts.  The first pic is the entire room and the second pic is the part of the room that caught my attention.

So here is my card creation based on this room.  This pic made me try something different. I didn't use any designer paper. I used some ivory antique lace, a book silver plate, silver button brads.  I also used white, blue and ivory silk flowers from Goodwill, a vellum phrase from Colorbok vellum quotes and a piece of white card stock.  The base of this card is kraft card stock.  I love how this card came out!!

I have a few more inspiration pieces to share with you so bolo (be on the look out).

Thank you so much for spending time with me.  You don't know how much I truly consider it an honor and a blessing!!

SO until next time.. O GIVE thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!  ~Psalm 107:1
