The 1st Mini Album Monday Paper Bag Baby Bottle

Hi Everybody.

Welcome!!!  So my planned 1st Mini Album Monday has turned into a Mini Album Wednesday for this month.  Hubs and I recently took in a foster child and it has been a rough couple of days.  Plus, being super slammed at work led to no free time for other things.

Anywho, the mini that I have to share with you  today is one that I am truly proud of.  I have scoured the net and YouTube looking for a mini like this and I have found nothing.  If any of you know of one please let me know.  Today's Mini is a Paper Bag Baby Bottle mini Album.  The tags are shaped as baby bottle and can hold a 4x6 photo.  I am so so proud of this album!!!  I love the way it turned out and I have plans to make more.  It is so super quick and easy and is so much fun to make.

Let me show you what I did.  ** WARNING - there are LOTS of pictures!**

This is the cover of the album.  A cover photo can tuck behind the scroll.  The scroll itself came from the Theresa Collins Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge .

The spine of the album

First pages and a sample of the tags that are present throughout the album.

Each paper bag hold tags that look like this one just with different paper.

Next two pages

Accordion style fold out photo page

Next two pages: the green page is a double slider page. Tab on the top pulls out for two photos and the tab on the side pulls out for two photos.

Small pocket to hold two tags from the paper collection.

Next two pages. The only thing with the second page is that I with I had gold photo corners that had white tabs instead of black. But with the photo in this spot you can't see the black.

Next two pages with an accordion style fold out photo mat and white photo corners.

Last page and back cover of album.

Watch the Video on Youtube

I really wanted to make a baby album that looks just like a bottle and could stand and be displayed opposed to laying down.  I used a total of 6 bags and a chipboard back cover. I will post a video on the album here and on YouTube so you can see it in real time (well sort of real time).

Anywho, here it is!  The first Mini Album Monday (though it is Wednesday) project.

Thank You all so much for stopping by and I pray you enjoyed the latest creation and first mini album of the year.  I pray you all are having a great day and I will see you all in the next one.  Bye!!

Date Night Gift

Hello Everyone,

My Hubs and I have been married for 5 years now.  And since we have been married we have made it a point to have Date Night every Friday and for the most part we have.  Minus the occasional Church meeting or helping a friend move.  This past Friday we scheduled to have our date night, just dinner and a movie out, and on the way to dinner we stopped by Ben Franklin Crafts.  We both did some looking around and found some things that we wanted (he wants to make a shadow box).  And as we approached the register to checkout Hubs surprised me and purchased my findings as a Date Night gift!!  Isn't that the sweetest!!  I love him so much and am so grateful for him.  So here is a video of the items he got for me.

That's all for now you guys.  I pray you are all having a fantastic day and I will see you all next time.

5 Card Friday - Month 1

Hello Everyone,

Happy 5 Card Friday!  Christmas has come and gone and this year I was slow creating my cards to send out.  But with the new year upon us I have made a vow/challenge to myself not to let the same thing happen again.  So I have put myself on a year long challenge to complete 60 Christmas cards by December.  That breaks down to 5 cards a month.  Each 3rd Friday of the month I will show the 5 Christmas card I have created. Here are my first 5:

Card # 1 - This card is made from a brown lunch bag that I used the bottom of the bag to create a pocket to hold the gift hard.  Super simple!

Card #2 - Kraft card stock, stamps and a ribbon. Can't get any easier.

Card #3 - A simple layout and great paper from Colorbok made this card adorable...

Card #4 - ...And this card as well.  Images from Sliekje.

Card #5 - A quick 10 minute card.  Yup, 10 minutes from start to finish.

So here they are.  I am proud of myself for getting on the ball and getting them up. I can't wait til next month to see the next 5.

Thank you all for stopping by and will see you soon with the next project.

Happy New Year

Hi Everyone,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

It's a new dawn, it's a new day....And I'm feeling good!!!

First let me thank you all for all your love, support and encouragement!!! You have all been such a HUGE blessing to me and I so can't thank you enough.

There are some wonderful ventures on the horizon that I am excited to share with you.  First let me apologize for being away during December.  There was a heap of things going on with the holiday season, work, concerts, crafts, shopping, etc, etc, etc that time escaped from me and I couldn't capture it back.  I am quite sure that you all experienced the same things.  I don't know what it was this year but the days just went SO FAST!

Anywho I have set up a schedule for myself and for you all as well as "Things to look forward to" list.

5 Card Friday
I have made a goal to create 60 Christmas cards but December 201.  The 3rd Friday of the month starting Friday, Jan 11, I will be posting 5 Christmas cards each month.  Prayerfully it will be a source of inspiration to you in creating your own.

Mini Album Monday
I get such a thrill from creating mini albums.  Even if I don't use them myself I really love creating them.  I have soooo many ideas for Mini Album that I have to get create them or they will sit in my head and no one will benefit from them.  The last Monday of each month will be Mini Album Monday.  This is where I will share with you all the albums that I have been working on and show how you can make one for yourself.  I have on the horizon:
~ a Baby Bottle Mini that looks like a bottle.  Super simple to make and OH SO MUCH FUN!!!
~ a Noah's Ark album that looks like the ark with the all the animals and Noah.
~a First Christmas storybook album. complete with the first Christmas story.
~ and a host of others.

Lay Out Wednesdays
I realize that with mini albums comes the need to for lay-outs.  So on the 1st Wednesday of each month I will present a layout to you for your scrappy projects.  These layouts will be ones that either I have drawn up or ones that I think are just so fabulous that they need to be shared.

Challenges/Swaps
I will be hosting some swaps and challenges this year and can't for you all to join in the fun.  I would love to do one swap per month but we'll see how things go.  The challenges will be a blast!  They are designed to help me get out of my comfort zone and to help you all keep the creative juices flowing.  I can also see some giveaways associated with these challenges.

There are some other things in the works and I will let you know about them as soon as they are set.

This is list is my way of keeping myself accountable to you all, keeping the blog updated with new ideas, and keeping the creative juices flowing.

Now don't misunderstand me, I will be posting other projects through the months but these are projects/days that are specifically set aside to share project with you!!

So there you have it.  I am really excited about this year and all the wonderful craftiness that is to come.  So with that I will say, Be on the lookout and I will see you all next time.
