Happy 1st Birthday

Hi Everyone,

So July has kept me pretty busy with the planning of my lilttle girl's 1st Birthday party. I can hardly believe a whole year has passed already.

Her birthday party was inspired by Sesame Street's ladybug picnic song. My little girl loves this song so her birthday invitations, decorations, and thank you cards all carry the ladybug theme.

Here's a photo of what her birthday cards look like. I use my cricket to make all the invitations.

Yes I have fallen in love with my cricket once again. All of her invitations were cut at 5 1/2 inches using the create a critter cartridge. I used my clear wink of Stella on the light pink circles for a little shimmer and added a green bow on the ladybugs antennas.

I cut the case of the card once again in the light pink card stock and then cut off the antennas.  I scored the top of the card base about 1/2 in from the top and then glued that 1/2" top flap to the underside of the front of the card.

I wrote in her party deals and I was done. I love how these cards came out. And not bad for a 1st birthday invite from a new Mom.  So there you have it.

The best part about this project is that I did not have to buy anything!!  I had all the card stock on hand already.  This no-buy challenge has been pretty good to me. I did not realize how much stuff I had purchased over the years. Well at least i am using it all.  Yay!!

Until Next Time...
