Happy Sunday!!
Welcome to Day 4 of my 25 Days of Christmas challenge. Today's project is my second card of the season and I must say I had a lot of fun making this card. Have any of you read the meaning behind the candy cane, aka "The Candy Cane Story"? If you have never read the story then you can read it below. I have always loved the candy cane story and thought I would incorporate it into a card. Here is what I created:
The title has a bubble in it for dimension.
I added a spin feature to the card to bring the story to life in the card. The candy cane stamp turns to change the cane into a 'J' for Jesus. A red brad in the center of the ribbon helps it to spin. I popped the candy cane and the red and white mats behind it with foam tape.
I printed the story from the Internet.
Here is the story...
If you can't read the small print of the picture then you can follow the link, http://www.kidtokid.org/candycanestory.html, and read it.
What I used:
-Making Memories Holiday Paper pack
-Queen & Co. black rhinestones
-Nicole Craft green rhinestones
-Studio G ink
-Studio G candy cane stamp
-Recollections card stock
-Cricut Home Decor Cartridge
So here is my Day 4 project. Please let me know what you think. And I will see you all in a little bit for Day 5. Thanks for spending some time with me.
Blog with ya later.

My 25 Days of Christmas Challenge! Day 2
Hi everyone,
So here we are on Day 2 of my 25 day challenge. Today I decided to get organized for the Christmas season and made a Shopping List/To Do/Photo Holder/Memory Minder/ Coupon-Receipt Holder. I know, it's a lot for one organizer to do. There are two flaws in my organizer but hey, it is for me and even with all its imperfections I wouldn't want it any other way. Here is the front of the organizer:
Up close and personal... I had a little trouble figuring out how far out I wanted my fold.
I really like the holly accents...
The back of the organizer and the pocket...
The tags fit the same on the back as on the front...
The pockets on the front are for the receipts from any gifts I purchase and I plan on using the pockets on the back for my coupons when I go grocery shopping for Christmas dinner. On the tags I will put my lists; grocery, to-do/errands, and gift list (this way I know next year what I got people this year and I won't repeat the gift). On the mats I will put the pics I take when Hubs and I go shopping. Since we have nephews we stop in the toy department and play a little bit. It's our way of capturing the good younger days and it also sparks a memory from our childhood that I record and keep so we can tell our kids the stories of "When I was your age..." I will probably make some journaling tags once I have the pics and slip the tags behind them.
What I used to make this organizer...
-1 Manila file folder folded in 3rd's and 1 for the tags
-Studio G pigment ink for the edges
-Offray Ribbon
-Nicole Crafts Green Glitter stickers
-Recollections Bright and Jolly Paper Pad
This was a really easy and super simple, simple fast project! I can't wait to fill it up.
Well guys that is all for today. I will share with you all tomorrow Day 3s project. Thanks again for stopping by and spending some time with me.
Until next tomorrow... I pray you all are staying warm where you are 'cause it's really cold here!!

God Bless You card holder
Hi-Dee-Ho Everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around. I have been suffering with some tremendous back pain. Even typing is painful but I have to stretch the muscles and become mobile again. So here I sit and stretch.
Have you ever had an experience where a paper pack kept hounding you to use it. Well, that is what happened to me. The purple in this pack by Colorbok - "Julia", kept calling my name until I opened it and used it on a project. For this project I created a Greeting Card Portfolio/Holder using a cereal box and a patterned paper pack I purchased from Target back in June.
Using the Vellum quotes from DCWV, I created a simple cover.
I used DecoArt Twinkles on the ribbon ends to keep them from fraying.
I used Nicole Crafts card stock to create the pockets. I made a total of 5 cards each with white envelopes. Why 5? Biblically, the number five represents grace. On the first card I added flat-back lavender pearls and the sheer ribbon I used for the closure. Studio G ink, VP0017, is used around the sentiment. Actually I used this ink all throughout this project.
The second card I kept it fairly plain so that it could be given to a man.
The inside of the second card.
On the third card I added some white Offray ribbon and white round brads to the patterned paper. The flowers are cut out from the same paper pack. The flower at the top I placed on foam tape.
Here is the inside of card 3.
For card 4 I used white button brads for the corners, green flat back pearls for the sentiment and Studio G blue ink around the edges.
The inside of card 4.
Card 5 is a simple blank outside card. I may add a one word sentiment later on the card; maybe the word "Purpose", I haven't quite decided yet. With my white gel pen I added faux stitching. This card was inspired by Sara Wisboo from Don't Worry, Be Scrappy! :D.
The inside of card 5.
I used Recollections white card stock throughout the project. I really enjoyed making this portfolio and I can see making some more for the upcoming holiday seasons. Okay, time for me to go lie down.
Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me.
Until the next blog...Remember, God has a incredible plan for your life! Just ask Him to find out what it is.

Brown Bag Greeting Card Mini Album #2
Happy Tuesday to you!!!
Okay, so I am loving these Brown Bag Card Mini Albums!! I so hope you are not getting tired of seeing them. I am just having so much fun making them. I think I am almost addicted to them.
So, you may recall me using this K&Company paper in a project not too long ago but I think it is sooo pretty. This album holds a combination of 12 photos and/or journaling spots.
I used an Autumn Leaves journaling stamp, Studio G blue pigment ink around all the edges, flat back pearls I bought in bulk from Ebay, Decoart Twinkles on the ribbon, silk flowers I picked up from Michael's, K&Company Blue & Cream Paper Pad, flat back gems from Nicole crafts, silver brads - I can't remember whose they are, and the Cricut Home Decor cartridge for the frame on the front of the card. I plan on stamping "Thank You" in the circle frame, but that is all that remains to be done.
Thank you all for stopping by and sharing your time with me!!!! I am grateful to you all.
So until the next blog... Keep smiling : D

Brown Bag Greeting Card
Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday to you! What a great day to start the week. Not just because it is Monday but because we have been blessed to see it and be a part of it. It has been raining like crazy here in PA. It rained from last week Monday to Saturday morning, stopped Saturday afternoon, and then started again Saturday night and hasn't stopped. But that's okay because it gives me an opportunity to focus on unfinished projects and to let those creative juices flow. Well the juices were definately flowing over the last week. I went to work on a Paper Bag album, which I will post soon, actually two albums, and had such a great time with them. I wanted to make an album that was a bit different than the ones that I had recently seen. Well God definitely answered the prayer of my heart and He also showed me a new kind of card.
I cut out a 1" half circle on the right side where the opening to the pocket is. Inside is a place for a trinket, photo, gift card or anything else. I happened to cut out a tag and made slits for a gift card to be inserted.
I will definitely make some more of these "Brown Bag Greeting Cards". I think they are just so cute and a perfect way to send a gift card or memento through the mail. Once I write my note inside and address the card, I will adhere a clear label to seal the package. This is also a safety precaution so that if the label has been peeled back, I will know if it has been messed with.
I also used this design to create one of my paper bag minis. Oooh, wouldn't this be great as part of a Paper Bag Swap. You could use any color bag you want, embellish however you would like, you would just need to leave 1/2" for the binding on the bag bottom side, I will have to come up with a theme. :) I like this idea!! Let me know what you think and if you would be interested in something like this.
Thanks for spending some time with me, I really appreciate it! Until we meet again, have a blessed tomorrow!

I wanted to make an album that was a bit different than the ones that I had recently seen. Well God definitely answered the prayer of my heart and He also showed me a new kind of card.
After making the paper bag album I was left with all these paper bags that were not ...well, pretty enough for a paper bag album. I didn't want to just discard the paper bags or keep them until I found a project, I wanted to create a use for them. Hence the "Paper Bag Greeting Cards" were born. These cards are so simple and it doesn't matter the condition of the bag. I needed to make some thank cards and so I used this theme to design this "Blessings" card.
I haven't done alot of embellishing for one particular reason, this card will be mailed (yes, it's going postal) and I don't want the embellishments to come off. This side is the card opening (pic above); kinda like the back side of an envelope. The gold flourishes are hand drawn with a gold pen. The butterfly, part of a 4pc stamp set from Inkadinkado, and 'Blessings' are stamped in gold ink from ColorBox. I also used ColorBox ink in Cream White and inked around all the edges of the bag to soften it up. I've had the 'Blessings' set for so long that I don't even remember where I got it from. I also used 2mm rhinestones from Nicole crafts. They are inexpensive and work great. The paper I used is the Bellisimo Collection from Autumn Leaves dated 2006.
When You lift up the "Blessings" flap the card opens up; here is the inside. Some more gold flourishes, rhinestone embellies and a single butterfly. I used a total of 8 rhinestones throughout this card. When I started this card I was going for a brown, beige and white combo, hence the chocolate brown ribbon; never thought about using the gold. But as I got further along I realized that I didn't have one small component - Chocolate brown ink {DOH}. But all in all, even with the ribbon I don't think it came out too bad. I going to hand write my note on these two pages. Once I write the note I will probably add some more embellishments.
Now, of course I am not going to give a Costso membership, though that would be a nice gift, but I am just using the card in place of a gift card. The sentiment on the tag "A Little Something For You" is a set from Studio 112 by K&Company.
And finally, here is the front of the card where the addresses would go.
