Germany 1 Sheet Mini Album

Hi Everyone,

So I apparent have been chosen to scrap every picture that a friend of Hubs and I, has.  And trust me, it is a lot!!  His now ex-wife and sons take a trip to Germany each year to visit her parents so the photos in this album are of those trips to Germany when the boys were young.  Well mainly just of him and his son.  Anywho, what is great about this type of album is that it can expand just by changing the jump ring size.  In one constructed page pictures from future trips can be added; maybe one page will represent that year's pics.  Click on the the link to see how to construct the One Sheet Mini Album.

**WARNING** This post contains an extreme amount of photos.  So many that I did not include them all.

Masculine albums can be super simple to make or super difficult.  I had a lot of input on this album from Hubs on how to keep it manly.  In this album, color became my embellishment.  Our friend that received this album really liked it.  So much so that when he showed his brother, his brother got jealous and asked for one of his own.  MEN!  :D

Well, guys that wraps this edition up.  I am still working on the 8x8 album and will hopefully have some new pages to share soon.

Thanks for stopping by and we will all fellowship again soon.  Later!!

Bath Time Fun, Masculine 8x8 Album part 1

Hi Everyone,

I pray everyone is doing well.  I wanted to share a project that is ongoing.  A friend of Hubs and I has a  plethora of photos that are just lying around and need to be organized and preserved.  So this is part one of the album.  As I scrap the photos I will post them for all to share in.

So here is the album and the first 5 pages.  I made the album from the chip board from the loosefeaf tablet.  The ones that look like the yellow legal pads.  Anywho, I asked hubs if this the material was too feminine and he said no suit is "Hubs Approved".  This was great for me since I have plenty of it and the recipients favorite colors are brown, blue and ivory.

There is a thick layer of batting under the fabric to make it nice and plush.  I added this Coverall/Overall fastener as the closure for the album and some ivory elastic.

And here are the photos that have been scrapped so far for the album.  I found I had the hardest time with the first picture and now looking at it I can see so much more that I can do with it so I am gonna go back and revamp the first one and add some more embellishment to the last two.

I find Masculine genre so difficult to do but I think I am starting to get into the zone for it.

So here it is, the project so far.  I have lots more to do so stayed tuned.

I will see you all in the next one and thanks for stopping by.   Later!!

Shoe Box Mini Album

Hi Everyone,

So contrary to most of my blog posts my most favorite project to create is a Mini Album.  I do love me some mini albums.  I have such a blast constructing them and then get caught up in the decorating.  Anywho, Kathryn from Life on the Scrap Beach held a Ustream class where she created an Album-in-a-box.  Here is the link to part 1: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/22378241 (part 1-4 listed below).  I thought this was such a great idea that I had to make one.  This box is going to a co-worker who makes some amazing homemade preserves.  I hope she likes it.  It is constructed with chipboard (I used a cereal box) and paper bags (I used the Micahel's Celebrate It bags).

WARNING: There is an extreme amount of photos contained in this blog.

This is the top of box.  I used a host of Recollections products and some items in my stash.

When you remove the lid, this is the first page.  The album itself is attached to the collapsable wall on the left.  The front of tag 1 is inside the first paper bag.

Page two and three and the back of tag 1 in the first paper bag.

Page four and five with tag 2 and an unclose of the floral embellishment.  By far my favorite pages in this album and not just because they are yellow.  Okay maybe the yellow color had a lot to do with it.

Page six and seven with tag 3.  I used velum as a matt for the photo and added photo corners.

Page eight and nine with tag. I chose to keep this one fairly simple; well simpler than the rest of the album.  I think the blues on the tags are a great masculine setting.

Page ten and eleven with tag and a few close ups.  The tags are the same on both sides throughout the album except for the

And finally the last page of the album, page twelve with tag.  The tag above and the one below are the front and back in the last paper bag.

A lot of pictures I know but I do like how it came out.  I wasn't sure about it because I normally wouldn't have used this style of paper but my recipient loves greens and blues and when I saw the paper I thought it was perfect for her.

Thank you all so much for stopping in and taking a look at what I have been up to.  I hope it inspires you to create something wonderful.

So, until next text time everybody...
