DCWV Mariposa card

Hi Everybody,

I hope the days have been treating you all well and that the weather has been even better.  The rain has stopped for awhile here in OR and the sunny is shining bright!!  Whoo Hoo!!  And the weather is a great way to introduce this card to you.

I adore the Mariposa paper by DCWV.  It is so exquisite and produces the most beautiful projects.  I couldn't post this card any sooner than now because I had to wait until my Mom received it.  I didn't want to spoil it for her.

I don't usually enter challenges or giveaways but I was encouraged to enter this into a June challenge going on at Mema's Crafts and I thought to myself, "Self, why not?"  So I am entering this into the June Challenge - Just Words at Mema's Crafts.

Well that's all for right now but I will be back with another project to share with you all.

I want to thank all of my followers, new and old, for joining me as I take this creative journey!!  The future has so many wonderful things in store for us and I can't wait to share my experiences with you.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you all in the next one.

Until next time..

Kelli

Congratulations Card with Copic Markers & Melonheadz Image

Hi Everybody,

I know, I know, another card.  Yes, but this is a simple card for a woman I know who has just quit smoking after 40 years!!!!  So this card is merited!  Just a simple congrats card.  So here we go...

Try to look past the little mistake I made on the coloring.  I fixed on the actual card.  I took the picture before I saw the hiccup.  But I love the Twinkles on the flower!  This adorable flower image is from Melonheadz.  I think these images are some of the sweetest around. You can find this image along with a host of others on her blog http://melonheadzillustrating.blogspot.com/.

I added Twinkles to the edge of the ribbon so they wouldn't fray.

So this is the card I made for her.  It was really quick and sweet but I like the finished product.

Masculine Card #2

Hi Everybody,

Masculine cards are such a challenge for me and I prefer not to do them but I just can shake them.  I feel like I have to keep making them until I master them!!  Hence, the card I have for today.

So my thought is to try out different techniques, papers, layouts until I find one that I really enjoy.  So I am off to practice making some more Masculine cards.

Thanks for going me and I will see you all in the next one.

Spring Card Swap

Hi Everyone!!

I've shared with all of you that I participate in a card group at my local Scrapbook store.  We exchange cards not only with each other but we also make extra cards to give to the local hospital.  The card I made "Spring Card - Delight" was the card that I was going swap with but I made a different card that I shared with.  The theme of the swap was Spring with the challenge being to use flowers.

As simple as this card is I didn't realize all the resources I used to create this card.  But I love the country feel to this spring card.

What I used...
~Colorbok Sweet Summer Paper Pad
~Recollections Brown Card Stock & White Card Stock
~Fiskars Scalloped Daisy Border Punch
~Studio G Brown Pigment Ink
~Studio 112
~Ivory and White Mulberry Flowers
~Studio G Pink Glitter Glue

I pray you all enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it.  Thank you all for stopping by and I will see you all next time.  :D

Tootles,

Kelli
