Tag Tag Mini Album - Mini Album Monday #3

Hi Everybody,

So I have been on this Christmas plan making 5 cards a month until December so that I have 60 Christmas cards to send out onetime without rushing to get them done.  So with Christmas on the brain I have also been thinking about gifts and mini albums.  I had the idea to make a mini that looked like a tag that would hold tags for journaling and photos.  And since I already had my Christmas papers out I chose to go with the it.

This album was made using Cereal Box chipboard for the front and back covers and 5 sheets of 11x17 white card stock (which I happen to have on hand) for the tag pages, inserts, and pulls. (You could also use 8.5x11 card stock; ask me for instructions)  I took the 11x17 card stock, scored and folded it at 7"and then flipped it around and folded back the last 3" to create the bottom border pocket.  Then I cut the whole thing at 6 1/2" wide. the remaining card stock I user for the tag insert and the pulls.

Here is my tag tag mini album.

*** Lots of photos coming***

I had such a great time making this album.  My Christmas colors for 2012 were blue and white and i wanted to keep the album with those colors only but then I came across that red and the album insisted that I use it. So my hands were tied and you know what, the album was right!  I love the pop of red in this album.

The tags and the pages will hold photo mats that will fit a full 4x6 photo.  I think it turned our great.  Thank you all for stopping by and I will see you next time for Mini album Monday.

Collective Haul Part 1 & 2

Hi Everybody,

Today i am sharing with you a massive, collective haul purchased last Saturday.  Hubs and I started early in the morning with errands and shopping and our journey took us to places like Jo-Ann's, Michael's, and Walmart.  And then I received my order from My Favorite Things; it was a great day indeed!

Now, I filmed the video and attempted to upload it via my phone but the file was too big so I had break it down into two parts so that I could up load it.  Hence part 1 and part 2.  So here they are, I apologize about the lighting, I am working on it.  I already have some projects in mind for some of these items and i can't wait to get started on them and share them with you.

Part 1:

Part 2:

So there you have it everybody.  Thank you all so much for stopping by and visiting and I will see you all next time.

My 25 Days of Christmas Challenge! Day 23

Hi Everybody!

So Day 23's project is a fun Santa card.  I think this card is so cute.  I am loving this paper pack from Recollections this year!  So much fun!!

The card stock and pattern paper is from Recollections' Bright and Jolly paper pack.  I really like using the Recollections brand because some of their products are made State side and I am a big supporter of American made.  I cut Santa out of one of the papers and then glues him on the black card stock and then cut a thin black border around the image; instant die-cut.

The note spot was cut from the Teresa Collin's Sophisticated Cricut cartridge. I inked the edge with black in so that it would stand out.  Then I cut out a sentiment from another page in the pack, added a black backing and that's it.

What I used..
~Recollections Card Stock
~Recollection Bright and Jolly paper pack
~Studio G black ink
~Studio G letter stamps
~Queen Kat black blink
~Lace
~Sheer black and opaque black ribbon
~Teresa Collins Sophisticated Cricut cartridge

So this is my 23rd project. Just two more to go.  So I will see you in the next blog.  Until then...

Thanks for stopping by

My 25 Days of Christmas Challenge! Day 22

Hi Guys,

So here is my day 22 challenge.  I used my scrap card stock and paper and created a gift card, card.

Isn't it cute?!  This card is simple cute adorable.  I added DecoArt twinkles to the snowflakes to make them sparkle and then I stamp the penguin and colored him in with color pencils.  I added two rhinestone to the little snowflakes, more twinkles to the ball on his hat, and inked around the edge to make it stand out.  Sheer black ribbon and three black rhinestones finish of the front of the card.  Super quick and easy.

The inside of the card is even easier.  A piece of patterned paper that I stamped with black ink and that is all she made.

What I used...
~Red card stock
~Pattern paper from Recollections Bright and Jolly paper pack
~Queen Kat black bling
~Studio G stamps
~DecoArt Twinkles

So there you have.  Thanks for stopping by today and I will see you in the next blog.

Hi Everyone!

This was inspired by the song "I've got so much love for you, baby".  I think the song was sang by the Temptations and hubs thinks it was from the movie the 5-Heartbeats.  If anyone knows who sings this song please let me know.

My 25 Days of Christmas Challenge! Day 19

Hi Everyone!

So, back on day 9 I created a page for a mini album that I made for a swap with Krafthead.  Since the swap is over and she has received the album I can show you the pages that were created.  For her album I used Christmas gift bags.  I loved making this album and how it turned out. Here it is.. Keep in mind there are lots of pictures.  This is the cover and the first bag.  The striped piece that you see is actually the first of five extra large tags.

The back of the bag has been turned into a pocket and can hold as many tags as you desire.  I chose to create 3 tags in each pocket.  I also added one of many folding photo mats.  The one on the left holds 5 phots and tucked behind it is another tag.

The tag on the right has space for 3 photos and the ribbon you see is actually another tag.

Here is the first bag sized tag.  Front and back, it is able to hold four 4x6" photos or two larger photos.

This is the third tag and the back of bag two and front of bag three.

Four photos mats, one journal spot, one blank tag and one fold out tag.  I think this is my favorite section of the album.

The winter wishes tag is the journal spot.  The fold out holds six photos.

For this bag I created a velcro pocket to place, yes, many more tags.

See the two more tags tucked inside the swing out pocket?

The back of page/bag 4 and the front of 5.  Another fold out photo mat for 5 photos.

Close up of the tags.

This is the page that I showed you in my Day 9 challenge

This fold out had the capacity to house a combination of 9 photos and journaling spots

Here is the back of the last album page/bag.  The pocket holds three tags.

Here is a close up of them.  The fold out tag is able to house 6 photo spots.

What I used...
~Recollections Bright and Jolly paper pack
~Making Memories Holiday paper pack
~Recollections white card stock
~Green & black ink pads
~Studio G pigment pink pad
~Fiskars corner punch & embosser
~Ribbon
~Craft Smart rubber stamps
~Flat back pearls and bling
~Autumn Leaves journaling stamps

I had such a blast making this album that I purchased more bags to make another one.  Stop by Krafthead's blog too see some more pictures and to see all the fantastic pieces that she makes.

Thanks for coming by to see what the next project was - I really appreciate it!!

So, I will see you on the next project.

My 25 Days of Christmas Challenge! Day 11

Hi Everyone,

My day 11 project is based on a swap that I am hosting on Scraps of Color.  The Shared Christmas Mini Swap consists of 4 groups of 4 people who will create a mini scrapbook page, out of 8x8 chipboard, for each member of the group including themselves. The theme is Christmas and the style - vintage, non/traditional - is up to the designer.  There also had to be a minimum of 2 tags for journaling.  Since I am not just the host but a participant, here are my pages for my group members.
