Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing with you a card for Practical Scrappers. The challenge was to use doilies ten different. I chose to use a doily as a pocket to hold something special for the recipient. In this charge I chose to showcase a gift card but a check or cash or anything else you can think of can easily fit inside the pocket. I also left some room to write a note.
I LOVE how this card came out! When I finished it I had to take a step back and smile. This is not a color combination that I would normally use even though i really like the combo. I like the idea of using doilies as pockets because it keeps the card flat without adding the bulk. Isn't it pretty!! So I cut a doily in half and use one half on the front of the card as a background and the other on the inside of the card as a pocket.
Okay, guys, there you have it. I encourage you to find a new way to use a doily and to get some inspiration from the ladies at Practical Scrappers.
Until next time everybody.
Later.
Kelli

Beautiful Awakening Project
Hi Everyone,
Todays project is an extension of "The Greatest of These is Love" mini album based 1 Corinthians 13:13. This scripture says, "Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love." So I created a card that reminds us of the gift of hope that we have in the Lord. It reminds me of the promises that await us in His word.
Well there you have it. I want to thank you all so much for stopping by and I will catch you all next time.

Hope is defined as
1. To look forward to with confidence or expectation
|
2. Archaic: To have confidence; trust.
|
I love these definitions! All the promises of God are yes and amen and these definitions just reinforce that what He has for us is for us! That we can remain confident in the gift of hope that we have; for a future, the hope of His peace, joy, and comfort, the hope of eternal life with Him. And this is just the start of greater things. AMEN!!! Whoo, I'm getting myself stirred up and excited and it's time for me to go and have myself a praise party!!
I used Sketch 117 from the "The Deconstructed Sketch" for the layout of the card.
